Before you start: log in to the client area, open your S3 Cloud Storage service and note the S3 endpoint, access key and secret key (click Reveal secret key). Create a bucket first in the web console at clouddrive.altnhosting.com.
- In Veeam Backup & Replication, go to Backup Infrastructure → Backup Repositories → Add Repository.
- Choose Object storage → S3 Compatible.
- Enter a name, then your service point (the S3 endpoint with
https://) and add your access key and secret key as credentials. - Select your bucket and create a folder for Veeam.
- Optionally enable immutability (requires object lock on the bucket).
- Use the repository directly in backup jobs, or as the capacity tier of a Scale-Out Backup Repository.
