Before you start: log in to the client area, open your S3 Cloud Storage service and note the S3 endpoint, access key and secret key (click Reveal secret key). Create a bucket first in the web console at clouddrive.altnhosting.com.
- On the Synology NAS, open Hyper Backup and click + → Data backup task.
- Choose S3 Storage as the destination.
- Set S3 Server to Custom Server URL and enter your S3 endpoint.
- Enter your access key and secret key, then pick your bucket from the list.
- Select the folders and apps to back up, set a schedule and enable backup rotation.
- Run the first backup and check it completes successfully.
