Your S3 Cloud Storage plan is S3-compatible object storage. Any software that supports Amazon S3 can use it.
1. Log in to the web console
Go to clouddrive.altnhosting.com and sign in with the email and password from your welcome email. Change your password after the first login.
2. Create a bucket
Click Create bucket, give it a unique lowercase name (for example company-backups) and, for backups, turn on versioning and object lock to protect against accidental deletion and ransomware.
3. Get your S3 details
Before you start: log in to the client area, open your S3 Cloud Storage service and note the S3 endpoint, access key and secret key (click Reveal secret key). Create a bucket first in the web console at clouddrive.altnhosting.com.
4. Connect your software
Enter the endpoint, access key, secret key and bucket name in your backup tool. See our guides for Veeam, Synology and rclone in this category.
