Organisation Validated (OV) and Extended Validation (EV) certificates show your verified company name in the certificate details. Before issuing them, the Certificate Authority verifies your business in addition to domain validation.
What the CA checks
- Your organisation legally exists and is active.
- The company name, address and phone number match official records.
- You control the domain (DCV).
- For EV: the requester is authorised, plus a verification call to a listed phone number.
Documents that help (India)
- Certificate of Incorporation / Partnership deed / Shop & Establishment certificate
- GST registration certificate
- Udyam (MSME) registration
- Recent utility bill or bank letter showing the business address
- A business phone number listed in a public directory (e.g. Google Business Profile, JustDial)
Tips for fast approval
- Enter the exact registered company name in the CSR and order form.
- Use a business email on your own domain (e.g.
admin@yourcompany.com). - Keep your phone available for the verification call (EV).
- Respond quickly to emails from the CA (Sectigo, DigiCert/Thawte).
Typical timelines: OV 1–3 working days, EV 3–7 working days after documents are received.
If the CA asks for additional documents, upload them in the configuration panel or send them to us via a ticket and we will forward them.
